4.1:  Mental Health and the Environment

Scientific evidence has identified a positive correlation between environmental determinants and exposures (air pollution, climate change, noise pollution, etc.) and negative mental health impacts. These include depression, anxiety, behavioral disorders, and stress, among others. Read the table on page 4 to understand the links between different environmental determinants and exposures and their implications for human mental health.
