This course is intended to improve AI literacy by enhancing the capacity of workplace professionals and organizational leaders to understand, implement, and effectively work alongside artificial intelligence systems. AI literacy is essential to modern workplace success and critical to organizational growth, innovation, and competitive advantage. Professionals across all levels are uniquely positioned to shape how AI is integrated into their work environments and to ensure its responsible implementation. By understanding AI's capabilities, limitations, and various applications, professionals can create a balanced and productive work environment where human skills and AI capabilities complement each other. Participants will learn how to recognize opportunities for AI implementation, write effective prompts, and maintain critical human skills such as creativity, emotional intelligence, and complex problem-solving. Promoting AI literacy in the workplace can help reduce anxiety around automation while empowering professionals to leverage AI tools effectively when needed.

There are two (2) modules to complete, which include:
Module 1: Introduction to AI in the Workplace
Module 2: Effective AI Use in Translation and Writing Good Prompts for the Workplace
The completion time for this course is estimated at 4 hours, comprising 1 hours of learning resources, 30 minutes of microlearning content, and 2 hours of participating in learning activities and quizzes to assist the learners in synthesizing learning materials. The course requires the completion of case studies, reflections, and discussion forums. At each module's end is a practice quiz of ten (10) multiple-choice questions.
After completing each lesson, quiz, and learning activity, you'll gain access to a final exam at the end of the course. This exam features a detailed case study that integrates all the concepts learned throughout the five modules.
Once you’ve passed the final exam, you can download a certificate of completion from NextGenU.org and our course’s co-sponsoring organizations. We keep your personal information confidential, never sell any of your information, and only use anonymized data for research purposes. Also, we are happy to report your testing information and share your work with anyone (your school, employer, etc.) at your request.
