Student activity instructions:

  1. First read through the slides on "Emergency Preparedness". This will describe the importance of planning, and suggest some issues to consider when making preparations.
  2. Then look through at least one of the two examples of emergency plans: "Emergency plan for appraisal" or "Example of an emergency plan". Neither is perfect. Can you identify what was good about the plan or not so good?
  3. Then share your thoughts with the group on the discussion forum as to what makes a good (or bad) emergency plan.
