Activity 4

In this activity, you will create a hypothetical exercise prescription based on what you learned in this lesson.

Use the information you gathered from the hypothetical patient in the last self-paced activity for this assignment. Assess whether your hypothetical patient needs further physical activity. Does this patient need to be referred for additional medical assessments in a real-world scenario? Determine the level of physical activity that would be beneficial for this hypothetical patient. Prepare an Exercise Prescription for your hypothetical patient. Reflect on your prescription. Consider the following points:

Are the exercises prescribed achievable for the hypothetical patient considering their current lifestyle and health status?

Have you taken into account any potential health risks or contraindications for exercise?

Is the exercise regimen varied and interesting to ensure sustained interest from the patient?

Have you considered how to monitor the patient's progress and adjust the exercise regimen if required?
