Read "Chapter 12. From science to policy: developing responses to climate change" (pages 237-266) for an understanding of how to develop specific, effective policies and responses to climate change based on science. After reading this resource, you should understand the context in which climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts exist, the concept of ‘policy-focused assessment’, and the key characteristics of successful implementation. You should also understand that assessment is a multidisciplinary approach.
