In this activity, you will look for a clinical case profile of a child diagnosed with ASD and discuss the needs of the child, his/her family, and the management principles appropriate for both the child and the family.

Step 1. Analyze gathered information (60 minutes)

Look for a specific clinical case profile of a child diagnosed with ASD. Analyze the case profile, especially the child’s symptoms, behavioral manifestations, or indications of a problem or difficulty. Keep the link to your case’s source.

Step 2. Respond (120 minutes)

Write a 300-500-word discussion that covers the following components:

• A brief description of the clinical case.
• Needs of the child and his/her family as indicated by the case.
• Recommendations of appropriate management principles and intervention measures for the patient and the family involved.
