We've upgraded our Learning Management System

We've recently upgraded our platform to bring you a faster, more secure, and more reliable experience. Most things should look and work the same — with a few visual improvements along the way.
We're still fine-tuning some formatting details and minor display issues as part of this transition. If you notice anything that doesn't look or work quite right, we'd really appreciate you letting us know at Contact Us.

Thank you for your patience as we complete these final adjustments — and for helping us make the platform better for everyone.

Mod3SU2 Learning Activity 2.11 Task

Instructions

You need to submit the following:

      • A Word document in which you describe
          • The names of 3 photo essay tools (such as Microsoft Photo Story, Boomerang, Pholody, Smilebox) that you explored before making the decision to use the one you construct your own example in.
          • Three reasons why you chose to use that particular tool as opposed to the others that you considered.
      • A worksheet that can be used in class:
          • Title of the activity
          • Name, date and class details (space where the learner can add their details)
          • The learning outcome of the activity
          • The instructions to the students
          • Anything else you deem necessary
      • An example of a completed photo essay (10 photos max). Once again, considering the theme/topic that you chose to work with, identify some visual impressions that could be used in a photo essay. Be creative! Please note that you can only use pictures for which you own the copyright or that are licenced for reuse and available online. Similarly, be sure to only use music/soundtracks that are licenced for reuse. You will be amazed to see how many 'free' tracks of music there is, once you start looking. Take care in making sure that the soundtrack suits the mood conveyed in your photo essay/story (movie). Most of the tools out there have an automated animation functionality. Play around with it when you start but see if you can orchestrate your own well thought through transitions and focus spots so that the animations make sense.
      • A rubric that can be used to mark the students’ ebooks.

Take note: You can upload multiple documents in the submission. Be sure that all your documents are upload before submitting.
