He is at risk for developing diabetes and cardiac problems.He is obese and has a history of diabeters in his family. His mother died young of diabetes and high blood pressure.
Mental Health Concerns:
- He is at risk for suicide as he appears depressed about his weight, health, and being bullied at school. He expresses hopelessness and suicide ideation.
- He does not communicate his feelings with his sister
- He spends a lot of time watching Television and does not seem to have any other interests or hobbies of his own
- He does not have friends and says that his little nephew is his only friend
- He has moved and is isolated from community or social connections
- He expresses distrust in a previous health care provider
